Perfect Day for a Run by SabrinaJenema Perfect Day for a Run by SabrinaJenema
This was the third major project that I did for Design II class. I would have the second project up, but my camera was being stupid and I couldn't take a picture of it before I had to hand it in. Anyways...

So the point of this picture was to find some Japanese woodblock art, or wallpaper or something, then make a color chart from it, determining how much of each color there were. Then we were suppose to take those colors and make our own design (with roughly the same amount of each color as in the original picture).

So I used [link] as my chosen picture to make what I did above.

I used acrylic paint, and it took me roughly 8-10 hours...not sure exactly. But please enjoy!

I love it! You are so talented!
Although it may be the lighting of the picture you took, it seems to me that you probably could have made the horses a little bigger without over-doing the red because they are not as bright red as in the Japanese picture. I don't know why your teacher would give you lower than an A though, because it's still magnificent.

True, I could have made them a little bigger, but I kinda wished I got an A on that project. But oh well. I'm still a student, and he must have his reasonings for giving me a B. Thank you very much!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate that! Funny thing though, I got a B on the project because my teacher wanted me to upscale the horses and change the colors to make it more realistic rather than fantasy. But I couldn't make the horses bigger, otherwise there would be too much red according to the color inventory. But oh well. I liked how I did.

Absolutely stunning ^^
And clearly, you have way cooler projects in your design class than we do. So jealous.

^-^ Thanks so much! You should have seen what we first started with when we began this class...the projects were as boring as heck...so now I'm glad we get to be a little more creative this time around. Thanks again!
