So yeah, here's the deal. This is something that I did in painting class not too long ago (last quarter actually). We just got into oil paints (never used them before in my life) and our objective was to find a picture that had realistic quality with shading. Well, I wanted to do something with a horse (go figure) but I didn't want to do just any horse. So I found one of my favorite scenes from Spirit: SotC and asked if I could do that.
Teacher: Well, I dunno, it's kinda cartoonish and it would be hard to...(she speaks like I'm a little kid, so I got impatient and interupted)
Me: But what if I try drawing it realistic? Then I could shade it like it was real.
Teacher: Ok, well, we'll see how it goes.
And this is what turned out. Since it was kinda big for a scanner, we had to take a picture of it, sooooo, yeah, that kinda killed it. But I never realized how much fun painting with oils could be. But I'll still with acrylics since they're cheaper....as always, enjoy!
PS: I got an A+ on the project by the way...
